Massive Update Brings the Shapeshifting Druid, Vaal League, and Significant Performance Improvements
Grinding Gear Games released the expansion The Last of the Druids (Patch 0.4.0) for Path of Exile 2 this week, marking one of the biggest updates since the game's early access began. Available on December 12, 2025, the expansion introduces the highly anticipated Druid class, the first Strength and Intelligence hybrid in the game, capable of instantly switching between human form and three distinct animal forms: bear, wolf, and wyvern. Utilizing a new weapon category called Talisman, the Druid offers a unique and versatile playstyle that promises to revolutionize the game's meta.
In addition to the new class, the expansion brings the "Fate of the Vaal" challenge league, where players can explore ancient ruins of the Vaal civilization and build their own custom temples.
